Ronald Hesse

Before founding the HCI Group Ltd. (parent company of GlobalAutoIndustry.com) in 1996, Ronald Hesse was director of the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency Chicago office. He assisted more than 100 U.S. companies establish European operations and launched the agency's automotive acquisition initiative, helping more than 20 automotive companies establish European operations.
Hesse spent 11 years in executive sales and marketing positions in the computer industry. He co-founded several high-tech companies that included Ocean Communications Inc., a business television and video production company backed by venture capital.
Hesse has a master's degree in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona, and has a bachelor's of science in international business management from Ferris State University. A native of the Netherlands, Hesse speaks Dutch, English and German.

Philip Rice
Interim Chief Operating Officer
Rice is the Company's interim chief operating officer. He is also a partner in Legacy Results, which provides strategic advisory services to growing companies.
Rice has served as COO of Stahl's Inc., a $75-million multinational that manufactures and distributes products in the garment imprinting industry, and as CFO of Gallagher-Kaiser Corp., a $110-million design-build paint contractor. He began his career as a CPA with Deloitte and Touche, working on many international assignments.
Rice has been active with the French American Chamber of Commerce in Detroit and the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce. He speaks French, German and English.

Dr. Bert Bulder
Sr. VP, Internet Technology
Dr. Bert Bulder founded Amsterdam, Netherlands-based Hippo Software B.V. in 1993. Hippo Software is a software development and Internet applications design firm serving the international business marketplace. Dr. Bulder was one of the pioneers of public Internet usage in the Netherlands.
From 1996-1998, Dr. Bulder lived and operated from his U.S. office, working with local governments and their technology needs.
Having met during this period, Dr. Bulder and GlobalAutoIndustry.com started working together in 1998. Dr. Bulder assumed the role of Sr. VP, Internet Techology for the Company, a function he still serves today.
Prior to founding Hippo, Dr. Bulder spent his career teaching at the University level and as a statistician for the Dutch government.
Dr. Bulder earned a doctorate in statistics from the University of Amsterdam and a doctorate in contemporary history from the University of Groningen . A native of the Netherlands, Dr. Bulder speaks Dutch, English, German and French.
Phil Buck
Manager, Advertising Sales
Buck is a specialist in media sales and strategic planning with more than 34 years of experience with a wide range media serving business executives and other special demographic groups. He entered the field managing major accounts for Automotive News including automotive manufacturers and OEM and aftermarket suppliers following three years as sales manager for an industrial textiles company serving hundreds of automotive companies.
Over 19 years at Crain Communications, Buck managed accounts for Automotive News, AutoWeek and the Automotive News World Expo and managed the marketing and sales side of the launch and development of Crain's Detroit Business, one of the most successful publications in its category. Following his work at Crain, Buck was director of Midwest operations for the Network of City Business Journals, a national media sales company representing more than 60 local business publications.
Buck established a media sales and consulting practice in 1995 that provided the opportunity to serve a broader selection of media companies. Clients have included print, digital and out-of-home media properties with audience sizes from 20,000 to more than four million and have been from very small, entrepreneurial companies to Reed Elsevier, the world's largest publisher of specialized business media. They have included privately held, publicly held, non-profit, custom, government and organizational publishers with business and consumer audiences from very local to global. Services provided by Buck have included sales, sales management, sales training, executive coaching and strategic planning. Buck has managed, overseen or assisted with numerous audience research studies and used the findings of such research to develop sales tools and strategies.
Buck is certified as a Certified Business Communicator with the Business Marketing Association. Affiliations include the American Advertising Federation, the Adcraft Club of Detroit and the Rotary Club of Detroit (past president).
