Regus Group opens largest centre in the world in Shanghai

Regus more than doubles its office network in China to over 34,000 m2.

The world’s largest workplace solutions company, Regus, announced the opening of its largest centre in the world with its sixth center in Shanghai.

The new centre, Silver Centre, is a 17-storey A Grade building with 13,700 m2 total gross floor area, offers a range of workspace options, a fully equipped conference centre and ground floor retail outlets. It is located in the large JinAn District, a 10 minute taxi ride to the prestigious Nanjing Road West CBD, famous for business, designer shops, luxury hotels and serviced apartments.

The workspace options in Silver Centre range from 10 m2 to 5000 m2, clients can choose from Regus fully equipped and staffed offices for branch offices and business start-ups or Regus Managed Suites. Managed Suites give clients the option of renting large amounts of furnished space for longer terms with their own entrance and corporate identity.

Offering 1,445 workstations, Silver Centre’s opening has signalled the next big phase of Regus’ China expansion plan with a 63 percent increase in the amount of square metres of Regus office space in China, now totalling over 34,000 square metres.

We are seeing a period of rapid growth for property outsourcing in the Asia Pacific region as an increasing number of organisations look to more effectively manage their business risk, maximise their financial resources and increase their flexibility,” said Mr Filippo Sarti, Chief Executive of Regus Asia Pacific.

There are strong opportunities to continue growing our brand in the region, particularly our model of providing professional office, meeting and conference environments in prime business locations. Silver Centre is an exciting development for us with the addition of Managed Suites to our portfolio, added Mr Sarti.

Regus has 8,750 m2 of Managed Suites at Silver Centre, across 12 floors. Compared to the fully serviced office option, Managed Suites give clients the opportunity to customize their workspace without the costs of fit-out, cabling, PABX and operation costs such as repairs, insurance, security, maintenance. Reception services are provided in the building lobby by highly trained bilingual staff.

In the same building, Regus has a business centre on the top three floors, with stateof-the art technology and professionally trained administrative and IT personnel to run the centre. A Conference Centre takes up the whole of one level with capacity for up to 300 people for meetings, conferences or training sessions and a restaurant with seating for 80 people.
