Capitalizing on global opportunities in any industry means having to communicate effectively with industry professionals and customers from many different cultures and languages. The surest way to gain clear understanding and build meaningful relationships is to speak the language that your professional counterpart or customer speaks. An increasing number of international professionals are realizing that, to stay competitive, they need to invest the time in learning how to hold conversations in languages other than their own.

World Learning for Business offers language training in customized, small-group or one-on-one intensive programs, primarily at client sites. Training can be delivered anywhere in the United States, and in selected locations elsewhere in the world depending on (a) size of target audience, and (b) lead time to qualify partner institutions and/or instructors in countries where we have not already done so.

The training is designed to boost participants' language communication skills in the context of pre-identified job-related tasks. Both starting proficiency level and work-competency requirements for each participant are determined in a preliminary assessment and measured again on completion of the course.

Language Training Options

  • On-site group program - 60 hours of instruction over 15 weeks, maximum 9 participants
  • On-site one-on-one training - 60 hours of instruction over 15 weeks
  • FlextensiveT - 30 hours of one-on-one instruction over 15 weeks, scheduled at the convenience of the client at company site.
  • On-site local intensive - for groups or individuals, 12 - 30 hours per week
  • Immersion language course - at World Learning facility, 30 - 35 hours per week for 2 or more weeks
  • Self-Directed Learning - Self-directed learning strategies customized to the participant's particular learning style, a selection of materials appropriate to learning on one's own, and up to 4 hours of one-on-one coaching by phone and/or email.

World Learning for Business has delivered client-customized language classes for specific business purposes to more than 3000 corporate participants in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, Norwegian, Arabic, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, and Hindi. The organization can set up classes in nearly any other language required. Our highly-qualified Instructors are experienced in teaching the language for business purposes.
